BrickBorne was founded by Hamza Khan, a Civil Engineer and BIM Professional with more than 8 years of professional experience in engineering, drafting, design, BIM and construction documentation.
Before starting BrickBorne, Hamza spent years working on different types of projects for clients and companies in the USA and other parts of the world. His work has included residential and commercial projects, permit drawings, architectural documentation, ADUs, decks, BIM models, CAD drafting, 3D visualization and other construction-related work.
Over time, one thing became clear. Every project is different and clients often need more than just a person who can draw. They need someone who understands the project, can work with the information they already have and can turn that information into drawings and models that are clear and useful.
That idea became the foundation of BrickBorne.
Who is Hamza Khan?
Hamza Khan is a Civil Engineer with a background that combines engineering, architecture, drafting, BIM and project documentation.
He earned his Civil Engineering degree from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) with a 3.75/4.00 CGPA. He later completed a Master’s degree in Engineering Management, graduating with a 3.73/4.00 CGPA.
His education did not stop with engineering and management. He also completed additional courses and diplomas related to architecture and interior design through learning platforms and programs such as Balkan Architect, Udemy, Coursera and Lynda.
This mix of engineering education and practical design experience has helped him work on projects where technical details and design requirements come together. But the biggest part of his experience has come from working on real projects.
More Than 8 Years of Experience
Hamza has spent more than 8 years working with clients from different industries and locations.
During this time, Hamza and his team has completed nearly 700 projects for clients across the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, South America, South Asia, Australia and the Middle East.

Some clients needed a complete set of drawings. Others already had plans or CAD files and only needed help with a particular part of the project. That variety has given Hamza experience with different project requirements and different ways of working.
Experience With Companies and Project Teams
Hamza’s professional experience has included several roles in civil engineering, design, drafting and BIM.
He has worked as a 2D and 3D designer, draftsman, design engineer, civil engineering service provider, BIM engineer, architectural designer and BIM modeler.
His previous work includes BIM and architectural work for a US-based company, permit design and BIM modeling for a California-based company and design and BIM modeling work for GeForce Construction in Saint Lucia.
He has also worked with individual clients and project teams who needed support with drawings, models and construction documentation. Working with different companies and clients taught him how important it is to understand the requirements before starting the work.
A drawing can look good on screen but it still needs to make sense for the people who will use it. That practical way of working is now part of how BrickBorne handles projects.
Why BrickBorne Was Started
BrickBorne grew from years of working on individual projects and helping different clients with their drawing and modeling needs.
Instead of focusing on only one type of service, BrickBorne brings several related services together.
The company provides civil engineering support, drafting, BIM, design, modeling, permit drawings, construction documentation and other project services for homeowners, contractors, architects, builders, engineering firms and businesses.
The idea is simple: A client may already have a sketch, PDF, CAD file, scan, measurement, or photographs. They should not have to start from zero.
BrickBorne can review the information available, understand what the project requires and provide the appropriate drawing, model or documentation support.
Working With Clients Across California and the USA
BrickBorne works with clients across California and other parts of the USA.
A large part of Hamza’s previous experience has involved working remotely with US-based clients. This has included residential projects, permit drawings, commercial work, BIM projects and drafting support.
Remote work also allows BrickBorne to support engineering firms, contractors, architects and other project teams when they need additional help. A company may have more CAD or BIM work than its internal team can handle. A contractor may need drawings for an upcoming project. An architect may need help with drafting or modeling.
In these situations, BrickBorne can provide project-based support without requiring the client to hire another full-time employee.
A Team That Understands Different Types of Projects
BrickBorne works with people at different stages of a construction or design project.
- A homeowner may come with an idea for an ADU, deck, addition, or renovation.
